Free presentation by Chloé Sainte-Marie, singer, actress, caregiver and spokesperson for the Gilles Carle Foundation.
Meet Mrs. Sainte-Marie who has spent 18 years accompanying her husband, Gilles Carle, who had Parkinson’s disease. During these years, she has been a spokesperson for caregivers. In 2008, she created the Maison Gilles Carle Foundation.
The Foundation’s mission is to provide moral and physical support to caregivers. So far, the Foundation has opened 8 Gilles-Carle Homes that are dedicated to welcoming people with a loss of autonomy so that they can benefit from a safe and healthy stay in a warm and human environment. This allows caregivers to rest in their own homes for as long as they need. By 2023, the objective is to open 20 Gilles-Carle Homes. More information: https://www.fondationmaisongillescarle.org.
During this meeting, Chloé Sainte-Marie will share her experience as a caregiver.
