Pink Boys and Old Ladies – Theatrical reading

Event Date:
Start at 10:00 AM
May 12, 2021

Virtual performance on May 12 at 10 am, offered by the Bluff Theatre of Laval.

Normand, who is not from Normandy, is a rather ordinary little boy, but Normand likes to wear dresses. Normand’s father’s sister finds this behavior borderline. Normand’s mother would sometimes like to open her son’s head to see what’s wrong inside, but Normand doesn’t want to change sex. Normand’s father, confused, decides one day to accompany his son in a dress to school…

Based on a true story, PINK BOYS & OLD LADIES is a family portrait in which each of the family members, caught up in this delicate situation, expresses their uneasiness while trying to keep up appearances.

The performance will be followed by a 30-minute discussion on the themes addressed by this text, such as the identity quest, the affirmation of one’s difference, labels and the weight of them…

Parkinson Montreal-Laval invites both people diagnosted and their caregivers to attend.
